A man didn't make it very far trying to get away from a pedestrian collision last night.
At around 9:00pm a pedestrian was struck at the intersection of 178th Street and 98th Avenue. After realizing what had happened, the driver took off.
Police say they got some valuable information from witnesses in the area, and they were able to quickly track down the runaway suspect not very far away. After stopping him, officers discovered he may have had a little too much to drink.
A man in his 30's was arrested, he's been charged with impaired driving, among other offenses.
The pedestrian was taken to hospital with cuts to his face and a concussion, but he's since been released.
