Impaired charges laid in crash that killed biker

Impaired driving charges have been laid against a 20 year old man after a deadly crash just west of Stony Plain.

A pickup truck and a motorcycle collided Tuesday at around 10pm on eastbound Highway 16 at the Highway 16A junction. The 53 year old Edmonton man who was riding the motorbike died on scene.

Kevin Andrew Shelley of Quesnel, B.C., is charged with impaired driving causing death, and operation of a motor vehicle while over .08 causing death. He is scheduled to be in court in Stony Plain on May 7th.
